What to expect - private accommodation Adelaide Hills

Pete's Shed, Oakbank. Lovely country veranda with beautiful outlook.

Description

We are a historic, heritage shed in Adelaide Hills which has been beautifully restored and finished. We offer a small, private stay on the boundary of a functioning farm which feels like a peaceful farm stay with places to roam and explore. A place to pause, take breath and hang your hat. Unique accommodation Adelaide Hills.

The original shed was sourced from the railways near Port Adelaide, with striking, solid timber beams which are beautiful and characteristic. Throughout restoration we have maintained all original timbers that were not too damaged in the residence and shed. Almost all materials used are secondhand, there is very little new - from old timber floor boards used as cladding, furniture and secondhand utensils.

The Space

The Shed sleeps four. There are two bedrooms — one king bed and two singles. There is a simple kitchen and BBQ for use, a cosy wood combustion heater and fire pit. A unique farm stay. One of a kind.

Cost

Please visit our bookings link for current pricing. We prefer a min. 2 night stay, plus charge $150 cleaning fee. We offer a generous discount to locals so please let us know if you live close by. Come stay in Adelaide Hills.

Corporate Hire

Pete’s Shed provides a quintessential Australian backdrop for photo shoots, small corporate gatherings and events. We are available for and welcome corporate hire. The property sits on the edge of our functioning farm, with the rolling Adelaide Hills as a backdrop.  Access to striking creeks, native reveg, historic vehicles and horse carts, an old shearing shed, farm machinery and animals on request. Horses and cattle are also available for photo shoots, along with dogs – Border Collie and a Jack Russell – and more. A rare farm stay with much more available.

Interaction

When you arrive you will receive the code to access the key to the property.  There could be some farm activity around you during your stay (moving animals, the odd tractor driving past) but this is kept to a minimum. There are beautiful walks, amazing native bird life, wineries and places to explore on your doorstep. Why not stay in Adelaide Hills.

Getting Here

The property is only 30 minutes from Adelaide, on the edge of the Adelaide Hills historic town of Oakbank. Access is easy. Unique accommodation Adelaide Hills.
